  1. Dear Amy,
First let me tell you how wonderful it was and how happy it made me to find your blog!! It’s such an encouragement to find likeminded, Christian girls, striving to serve their Redeemer to the best of their ability!
I’ve only begun blogging a few months ago, but I have already “met” (as it were J) a couple other Christian young women. What an excitement to find your blog!! God has used it to encourage me greatly!
I realize this post is a few weeks old, but you asked us to share how we memorize Bible verses, and I’ve discovered a way that has actually really helped me! (and yes i realize you’ve already posted everyone elses comments, lol, but oh well!)
I read in a sermon note/devotion/prayer journal that I received from a college some tips on Bible memory that it helped to memorize while walking. It said that apparently we have a better tendency to memorize something quicker to some type of rhythm. (Hence the ease with which we memorize music and lyrics to songs J) I thought this was kind of a weird/random interesting tid-bit, so I stashed it away in my memory for future use. Now, I’m one of “those people” who is a health nut/freak and works out four times a week and all that wonderful stuff J© so I’m on my parents treadmill a lot. One morning a couple weeks ago, during my quiet time of communion with my Heavenly Father, He gave me a passage of Scripture so fitting and applicable to my life at that moment, that I wrote it all out and decided that I really wanted to memorize it. Well, that day, when I hopped on the treadmill, I remembered what tip and brought my devotional journal with me, and went to memorizing. AND IT WORKS!!! It works beautifully! I memorized Deuteronomy 10: 12-21 in about four days well enough to say it back to my dad, and then again today I rehashed it the whole time I walked and jogged and walked and jogged up a sweat to solidify it in my memory. I was surprised how well this works! It is definitely something I intend to do more of, and when I read your post I figured it was something worth sharing!
Thanks so much for the inspiring posts!
